I finally decided, on our recent trip to Tasmania, that I was going to pull out my SLR and use it again. As I am considering selling the body and upgrading to a fully digital SLR, these may be some of the last times I get a chance.

This was taken on a sunny late Winter morning just outside of Launceston, Tasmania. There was a field outside the small restaurant we were eating at and in it were little clumps of native Snowdrops, or Galanthus, flowers. Behind is a very old barn, just barely holding together.

Taken with my Canon EOS 30 (known as the Elan7E in the States) and a standard 28-105mm lens.

I guess you learn something new everyday. Tasmania has its own species of snowdrop
I don't know if it is a true separate species or one that was imported because it was growing out in the semi wild. But it sure was beautiful. :)
