I didn't have a lot of time to make and plan costumes for Brisbane Supanova this year but there was one thing I knew I wanted to do.
Jokingly referred to a the Comedienne, this is my slightly feminized version of Edward Blake a.k.a. The Comedian from The Watchmen. It is also, in style, somewhere between movie and comic version. I hope to wear it again in the future and may make some adjustments to it over time to bring it closer to the movie version. |

The mask was made from plaster bandage that I molded to my face, sanded, then coated in fiberglass resin, sanded lots more and then painted black. That way, it fits exactly to my face, flexes a bit and stays on with only spirit gum.
